There's been a lot of frustration around here lately which almost seems to be morphing into conspiracy as an outlet. Please allow me to address this concern here too (since my browser only let's me post in the rigged forum, now THAT'S riggy).... norteeeizm wrote at 9:13 AM, Monday September 14, 2015 EDT Is it actually possible to get the same three or four hands dealt in 10 hands? Also is there any reason for weird lag? Just asking I'm happy to lose not worried about that more about what the hell is going on.... If the site has issues and the cloud keeps replaying hands I don't know... As long as I have chips for tourneys I'm k but it just seems a bit odd.../end quote. Yes it is possible to get same hands, flops, etc. Online, it's not so weird to get a couple of royals in a 10 minute span, as even happened here recently. The thing is, these $2 RNG's (most sites use) don't cut the mustard. They aren't truly random, they are just unpredictable. I've been in the online industry since day 1 and can tell you that those real money sites that claim to have 'anti-collusion' software usually always simply just use a $2 RNG because they are impossible to collude with. They're a piece of junk that will outlive us all, but the industry can sleep at night and propagate these RNG's because there actually is that 1 benefit to them. If you're curious, yes this site uses a piece of junk, however like stated, you will not be disadvantaged by a 2 or 3 man collusion team. I'd suspect you'd prefer at least gpokr used a random RNG (as would I) but you won't find anything that resembles that here, but there is info at my site. I can attest I have played on a real money site with a truly random RNG and it was fantastic, and no complaints from anyone. It was exactly like playing in a casino in fast forward. I've yet to see that site replicated. It had huge amounts of collusion in the rings though, but nobody cared as the tournys were clean. I'm just trying to give u some inside Nort, because if I can't help u wrap your head now with some facts you'll likely never get it, with all the misinformation out there. As for the creepy quick sand like lag that disconnects, you'll need to ask the previous 10000 members about that, whom no longer play here. Ryan isn't even in the building to bother rigging anything that would only provide about 5 minutes of laughs anyway. The lag will never stop here. The only way to address it is through standard software/patch upgrades to auto reconnect players, which I've probably already plastered on here the detail of. Put simply, Online Poker is just that, a different form of poker. But I did review my own recent issue/thread and on the replay it is quite apparent that it was the moment a new player sat in which disconnected me. This can't be fixed on this platform except only with the recommendations I have repeatedly outlined/expressed. This site could be making $1000s a week, but I assure you it's not and that the last 10 years has secured it only lost opportunity. Anyway, good luck nort. It's a real sad indictment of this site, and a reflection and summation of this industry as a whole when the people getting skrewd by a site still care more about the site than the person supposedly running it. |

Flop (pot $12,000): Yorkshire leads out with a 2/3 pot bet ($8,000) out of position. You min-raise, Yorkshire makes huge all-in. When Yorkshire shoves what is your thought process? What hands can he have? How many hands in his range beat QT off? How many lose to QT off? Is top pair weak kicker any good here? Could he be bluffing and if so what is he repping with the shove? In my opinion QT is a very easy fold in that spot. You can beat Q8, Q5, A7 (and a few weaker holdings plus un-made draws) and he is never shoving those hands unless he's been playing every hand like a drunk maniac. The flop min-raise is also questionable given your weak kicker. Would a call and re-assess on the turn been a better play? |

at 3:09 PM, Monday September 14, 2015 EDT I have to agree w/ Jules on this one. A big red flag should of come up when York reraised all in. My first though would of been he had 2 pr or even trips. Holding top pr is a common mistake and sometimes misleads you. I believe in this situation I definitely would have folded and decided that Q 10 was not the best hand at the time
