Can someone explain this play to me. Tactically it made no sense for lucky to force me out of this pot by shoving.

If he thought I was drawing to a flush he had no fold equity given the pot size.

If he thought I only had a one pair hand (which I did), and wanted to knock me out he was not gaining any advantage because Charlie cannot act any further. If I fold you lose the potential value from hitting your draw.

The only reasonable play is to flat and and see if your hand improves.

I would expect this kind of nonsensical play from a typical gpokr player, but when a gold medalist does it I become somewhat suspicious.
