LESSON 1 - THE BLUFF CALL
Welcome to the class, we'll start with one of the basic skills of playing 25/50 blind gpokr, the bluff call. In order to become a good 25/50 gpokr player you have to use this whenever possible. The idea is simple, call big raises without having anything. Don't reraise, this would be a boring real bluff and isn't half as nice to watch. The lower your cards are the better the bluff call is, e.g. a 23 bluff call is much better than one with Ace high. An example, medium quality bluff call on the flop, King is a bit too high and still makes an overcard: Dealing pocket cards: [8d, 7c] Bolanski calls raiders calls @lph@ calls sboll calls ka7ext folds kennymagine calls NicolaX folds NicolaX sits out Tim W calls SY.Lee checks Dealing flop: [3c, 9d, 5h] Tim W bets $2550 SY.Lee folds sboll sits out Bolanski sits out Bolanski folds raiders calls @lph@ folds sboll folds Bolanski sits in kennymagine folds Dealing turn: [3d] Dealing river: [Qd] Tim W shows [Th, Tc] for two pair, tens and threes raiders shows [Kc, 6d] for a pair of threes Tim W wins main pot 5450 In the later lessons you'll learn more about the following 25/50 tactics: "The longer you keep your pocket 2s the bigger your penis is." "I had three pairs, how could I lose this hand?" "My gutshot is worth an all in!" |
