Yesterday was a tough day of bug fixing. It looks like the new server code is pretty stable now with just a bunch of extra bugs that need tackling. Today you should find these bugs fixed:
- uploading your avatar - friends from the old version moved to favorites - fixed table names to be a random selection of members first then players - profile link opens in a new window - removed unlimited refills - fixed refill stat - fixed the call check box - booting users probably after they go offline |

at 1:11 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Removing unlimited refills may cause me playing my 8 other accounts, when I am unlucky at the table. I was very happy with that feature and it was one of the best possible members' perks...
My suggestion is, let the members refill in 5 minutes. |

at 2:31 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Great updates.. it's working better all the time.
As to the refills... I have a strong opinion on this. I think refills are the games biggest weakness. They are partially responsible for the constant all-in 'it's just playmoney' style play so common at all stakes, but especially the small tables. Certainly these folks will always be with us, but I have had an idea to reduce them. Has anyone ever played the game "drug wars" (it's a cool litle game)? They handle money in a way similar to one I would propose for GPokr. Make refills a user managed debt that has to be re payed before months end. Stink it up just a little more by adding interest to encourage folks to pay the debt off sooner. It would make the game slightly more realistic as there is no such thing as free money, and even though this is play money it can still be treated as if it were real. If you want members to benefit ... lower or waive the interest rate. The other problem is multiple accounts. Stopping idiots from chain refilling on millions of accounts would be great if it were possible. I am not sure it is .. with shared IPs Anyway thanks for the update. |

at 5:30 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Thanks for the update Ryan. Good communication. Just an FYI...my refill stat for January is still a cumulative total of all my refills for previous months. We appreciate your efforts.

at 9:44 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Still no cards on the table for me. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Vista operating system. Just a thought. Anyway, can't comment really on any other features since I can't play yet.
I'll check back later. thkx |

at 9:53 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Thank you for the update, but I'm still unable to play. When I sit in, it takes about 2 minutes for my name to show up. It's like everything freezes. I tried refreshing, but that doesn't seem to work either. Before I know it, I'm watching 5 hands go through in rapid speed.
