at 12:27 PM, Tuesday September 9, 2008 EDT Hi Jules:)
Due to the fact that I luv this site~I checked out the address. Beginning with the optimistic side of the decline, there are many possible reasons for the temporary decline such as weather conditions(good and bad), personal reasons and etc! Those stats will go back up~way up:) On the pessimistic side~there is too much hate, jealousy and cheating!!! I can remember the times when everyone was so friendly with each other and it was such a glorious place to come to meet folks, chat and play! And, guess what??? It STILL IS a great place to meet, folks, chat and play!!! And the majority of the folks here are awesome~friendly, funny and luvs a good time!! Over the time I have played, I have learned to hang out with these folks and stay away from the negative aspects I have mentioned. So, Jules~remember the GOOD always wins out over the BAD:) See ya at the GPOKR tables!!!! xoxoxxoxx ps This is MY opinion:) |

at 2:54 PM, Tuesday September 9, 2008 EDT I believe there could be many reasons for the decline in traffic. I myself have noticed that I haven't wanted to visit as much as I did. One of the bigges reasons was the fact that tournaments have disappeared although I see that will be changing soon. However some of my other reasons I would not like to express to the public on a message board. I believe it wouldn't hurt for there to be a private way for people to express their opinions so that others will not be offended.

at 7:21 AM, Wednesday September 10, 2008 EDT I for one believe traffic is declining because the site is becoming full of cheaters and rude people. Personally I am unhappy with the way the top 25 is full of cheaters every month, alliances forming to boost friends and people colluding on MSN to knock honest players out. And these players are not being penalised for this behaviour, so it continues every month. Therefore I believe players are choosing to play here less, or move to other sites.
There are no clear rules set down anywhere on the website, and as such no clear enforcement. There have been improvements in the way the site LOOKS, but none in the way it is MANAGED. Unless something is done to clean this site up and get rid of the cheaters, more and more players will leave. |

at 8:22 AM, Wednesday September 10, 2008 EDT lei u talk shit
why are u prejudging players tht finisg in top 25 not all do cheat so until u fine evidence to support that "all players in top 25 cheat" then dont go around accusing |

at 10:05 AM, Wednesday September 10, 2008 EDT Read it again properly!! I said "the top 25 is full of cheaters", not EVERY player in top 25 cheats. Some of them are honest. But some are not.

at 11:21 AM, Wednesday September 10, 2008 EDT I agree with both smitty and lei.
I placed in top 25 last month and in June, I have never once cheated, so it does appear that you are accusing the top 25 of being cheaters, but I understand you didnt mean it that way, try wording it a little different. "full" can be replaced/mistaken with "all." It does suck to make the top 25 and not cheated at all,but get mixed in with the cheaters, I have never cheated, but got very very lucky alot against the cheaters. |

at 1:20 PM, Wednesday September 10, 2008 EDT I don't care about the foul language or the strange characters. It's part of life.
I don't care about the cheaters. A medal obtained couldn't mean much. But I would hazard a guess that Ryan doesn't punish the cheaters because it's about the only drama left for Gpork. I'm not playing as much because Gpokr has gotten boring to me. The tweeking to make this a good site hasn't happened...there is still consistent lags that make hands last forever. I don't have the patience or time for it. And, as I've said before, the format is boring. By the end of the month, I don't even care and am certainly not going to put the rest of my life on hold to play Gpokr for such an extended period. And there's lots of nice people on Gpokr, but there's lots of nice people in my family, neighborhood and social network. The friendships are inconsequential in the scheme of things. Enough said...I think until Ryan goes back to the drawing board, you will continue to see the ranks of Gpokr dwindle. |
