Loans & Cheating & Other Gpokr Issues.....ALL players & mods should read this post!!!!!

Everyday when I log on, I like to read the forum. Lately, it's gotten to the point that there are 5 or 6 posts daily about cheating/loaning etc. Ryan, I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement this idea into your coding for the game, but why not add a feature where it allows players to transfer chips? I can guarantee that 90% of players here have transferred chips in the past, or they continue to do so. (Myself included for all those haters that will most likely point fingers after this post.) As far as transferring or chip sharing goes, so what if a player wants to give chips to someone else? They belong to that player, and if he/she feels compelled to give them away, then so what? This is the only poker site I've played on (fake money & cash) that does not have some feature allowing you to share chips. If this were to be added, I'm sure the forums would be not be spammed nearly so much.

Secondly, the friends feature. I enjoy my friends here in Gpokr and I love playing with them when they are online. But the current feature allowing you to add friends is flawed in my opinion. I would like to see something added to where you can either accept or deny a person when they add you as a friend. I'm sick of getting 15 new emails a day of people I don't even know adding me to their list, and being able to see where I am playing at. I would love to see this changed.

I would also love to be able to edit or remove posts on my wall. I know at one point in time, I could, but not anymore. Please add this back again Ryan.

And last but not least, tournaments. As far as the bugs, we all need to be patient. I know how difficult it is to code something and troubleshoot it. The tournaments have not been around for very long, so I'm sure Ryan is doing what he can with that. It takes time to fix coding, and it's a pain in the ass. So just be patient. On the other hand however, I WOULD like to see the people that are idle during tournaments be booted. In the live tournaments that I play, you are allowed to be late, as long as you are there before the blinds go up. I understand that things happen and that people can't always make the tournament time, but they should not be allowed to sit until final table and even get paid. That is totally unfair. Also, I think it would be a great idea to add and "Unjoin" feature to the sign in as well. That way, if something DOES happen and someone can't attend, they can simply click the "unjoin" and not take up space idling. Lastly, as far as tournaments go, I am not very pleased seeing one player with multiple accounts entered in the same tournament. I personally play on several accounts, but I have NEVER entered more than one of them in the same tournament at the same time. I have been unable to get seats in several Freerolls due to this. I mean come on!! You can only play one account at at time right? So why take another players seat that actually wants to play.

Ryan, I do hope that you read this post and respond to it. These are just some things that have been on my mind lately, and I'd appreciate you consideration into them.

Thanks,
~K

I don't think that either "forum is spammed all over" or "everyone's doing it anyway" is a reason enough to allow transfers. And it's kind of hard to compare gpokr with other sites because of the monthly competition. If you allow transfers then the winner of the month wouldn't be the best player but the one with the most friends (I know it's an idealized view but you know what I mean).

The rest I either agree with or am indifferent to.

Can we have a leaderboard for those that transfer? We can call it a Cheaterboard? Medals also for those that transfer the most?

i agree also w/ the transfer of ur own acct. no loans. should be away to transfer the money total w/ out changing ur stats. maybe it isn't possible but i think the people that r being blamed for cheating r people that r transferring from one of their accts to the other. just need to find away to do it by not sitting at a table.

If there are still concerns about the proposed transfer system, then why not charge a transfer fee? If someone is willing to take the risk of doing it on a table and getting caught, then they should not mind paying 10-15% to move the money through a legitimate system.

I also had another idea that I would like to see added to the stats page. It shows a player's career earnings there, but I would like to see total tournament winnings added as well. I have won quite a bit of money in tournaments, but I have not kept up with the total. I think it would be an interesting addition.

Kab00m, I agree with all suggestions except the one concerning the chip transfer. I will try to explain why.....Im not tryin to start anything bad here but in my opinion allowing the transfers isnt saying much for the actual skill of the player, can give player advantage and therefore not really fair for players who have won the chips legitemately (spelling?)......

Example:

player x: worked his way up to $3,500,000 by playing poker honestly

player y: who at the end of the month used "several reserve accounts" to transfer 3 mil to his player y account. A couple of good hands can very easily put him in the lead of player x who "earned his position" honestly.
Feel free to respond...
