at 8:20 AM, Tuesday January 13, 2009 EST The following happened on the final table of WPT season 4 from Foxwoods (year 2005).
The last 3 players are in the game: Nick Schulman, a massive chipleader, Anthony Licastro and Bill Gazes, both had roughly the same chips. Bill bets with AA, Nick raises with some crap, Licastro (nicknamed All In Tony) goes all in preflop with KT off, Bill calls and Nick folds. And guess what - Tony flopped a straight. The difference between 2nd and 3rd place payment was roughly 300 grand. |

at 5:54 AM, Wednesday January 14, 2009 EST I have to learn to fold AA from when necessary. After Taz called that horrible flop bet alarms bells should have been ringing, but I shoved and got burned, more fool me. Should have checked the turn and watched what he did. A basic error and good lesson learned about over-playing AA.
