I just played the Sunday Slam.
1st hand - I can't see my cards 2nd hand - In Big Blind 3rd hand - Moved to new table, put in Big Blind again Just a few hands later... The tournament has been running 15 minutes and the BB/SB is now 400/200. This is ridiculous. There hasn't even seen 10 deals yet!! Pay BB of 400, have to fold to raise with 74 offsuit. New guys joins the table to my immediate right and I pay Big Blind AGAIN!! I've now seen 10 sets of hole cards and paid the BB 4 times. This basically destroys the tournament and turns it into a luckers lottery. I had paid out $1000 of my $1500 in Big Blinds inside of 15 minutes having only seen 10 deals or so. Left with 1.25 Big Blinds I have to shove with any 2 cards...end of tourney. Nobody can be expected to compete in a tourney if they're blinded out before seeing a dozen hole cards. The blinds need to rise more slowly and the balancing of tables and reseating of players thought out more carefully. |
