In the Europe Freeroll tonight, out of 50 there were 12 away. 4 at one table at times. This is unfair to real players who would like to play. Made it very hard for real players to play. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese Ryan can we have something done about this is tourneys. Most of us are sick of it. Just getting worse and worse. We put all our effort in to eliminating them instead of doing what we were there for.

at 5:23 AM, Wednesday January 28, 2009 EST I agree and have even see awayers win money from the tournaments. Personally I think, in all fairness, that if the first 3 hands aren't played they should be kicked. This would be fair for people with lag, as very rarely are they out for 3 hands. I do not feel its fair for awayers to be able to win prizes, over people who are genuinely playing the game. Why enter the tournament, if you think that you are unable to play. Perhaps continual offenders should be disallowed from entering future tournaments.

I find the ones that re-raise you are trickier personally. |

at 7:03 AM, Wednesday January 28, 2009 EST i disagree, if you cant beat a person who is away than he or she deserves to win. As long as they are playing the blinds then they can sit and if they play better as away then let them?

at 9:19 AM, Wednesday January 28, 2009 EST While I do agree the "awayers" are annoying, Ryan has not made it clear whether he sees them as disruptive enough to remove them from a tourney. Besides, while Advisors can ban a player from regular play, currently it will not remove them from the tourney table as the coding is different.

BECAUSE YOU HAVE PAID FOR THEM! End of story. C'mon guys n gals, you can beat the away players without looking at your cards. |

at 10:35 AM, Wednesday January 28, 2009 EST I have to agree with the majority who say these people should be removed from the table.
A free or buy in tournament it should not matter; why even enter if all you're going to do is sit away? Also, julesdogg it has NOTHING to do with beating an away player because even if you are the only one left with the away player you cant raise them out of the hand so they are folded and more often than not i have seen them win. Just like I have said previously, if player sits away make them pay big blind every hand they sit away. This will prevent the "away" player from making it to the final table, make them think twice about entering a tournament they have no intention of playing and thus make it the way tournament play should be. |

at 10:47 AM, Wednesday January 28, 2009 EST ~Shelby#, away players 'autofold' to any raise unless the blinds put them all in.
A min raise and they lose their blind! |
