24,689 hands in more than a year and I have just hit my first ever straight flush on Gpokr. I find it very hard to believe that there is this mythical programme that makes all these really good hands pop up far more often......1 in 25,000 is not often!! :)
Rigged? I don't think so Starting Hand Dealing pocket cards: [3h, As] Nison calls gummo calls the shed raises $1,275 MatthewBird folds jrwilliams folds Kizzadaman folds Nison calls gummo calls Dealing flop: [3s, 5d, 4s] Nison checks gummo checks Dealing turn: [2s] Nison checks gummo checks Dealing river: [5s] Kizzadaman sits in Nison checks Kizzadaman stands up gummo checks gummo shows [Ks, 9h] for a flush King high the shed shows [3h, As] for a straight flush five high Nison shows [Th, 3c] for two pair, fives and threes the shed wins main pot $3,900 |

Well i doubt it's rigged also, but I think we both remember the hand u flopped a FH with pokcet 8s and u got beaten by what seemed a rigged action of the site. U might have thought at that moment that gpokr was rigged Well anyway; Maybe see you later shed and good luck this month |

at 4:37 AM, Monday March 2, 2009 EST I think the reason why people believe it to be rigged is because there are so many occasions where ridiculous beats occur. The reason for this though is, as has been said many times on here before, that people call with so many average to poor hands and chance their arm. In real money and tournament poker it happens far less than here because players are far less frugal with their chips here, thus many more crazy bets and hands.

at 3:38 PM, Monday March 2, 2009 EST I think there has been a lot of general chit chat about the twisted odds on gpokr. Its all supposition of course and Ryan has never, to my knowledge, confirmed or denied showdown odd twisting to keep people interested and up membership. But just for your information, the odds on hitting a straight flush are 1 in 72193.33. and the odds on hitting a Royal flush are 1 in 649740. I've seen 4 Royals in my limited history on Gpokr, made one on the last day of the month this month and have seen one appear, beleive it or not, with all five cards on the table.
Ever wondered why you worry about someone hitting a straight or a flush when you have a pair of aces in your hand. And yikes, only on Gpokr, not only do both appear but a FH pops up too, but not with the aces. In saying that it doesn't happen that often, only 3 times more often than it should. |
