careful TCS... this might not be a war you want to get involved in. im not trying to be a proponent of this dude (i laughed at his posts in kdice/discussion, but think the fact that he did them in gpokr/discussion is lame). but you really dont know the lunacy that is kdice.

thrax is trying to be politically sensitive in his communication with the rest of the mods, but thats because he has to, since he is a mod. ill try to tell you in a not-so-professional way how the kdice community works:

in kdice, people hold much more strongly to their 'freedom of speech' rights. as a community, they understand that this means if they say nasty racist words, they will be banned.

however, the community as a whole (or at least 90% of it) believes strongly that saying FUCK YOU to someone after they feel wronged is completely legit. from my brief experience in gpokr, this is the case here too. if you get sucked out on, you have the right to say shit about it, and even yell at the other person too. however, in gpokr, its only acceptable to do this for like 10 minutes. then its understood that if you keep cussing (at someone or no one), that you risk being -chat'd.

but in kdice, its not a 10 minutes allowance for whining/bitching/cussing. its at least a year-long allowance. this has been the history of kdice, and this is the accepted allowance by 90+% of the community. for example, i had a buddy who tanked my account once, and for some reason that really tilted me (he used to be a good kbuddy). for the next several months, every time i saw him (whether in chatbox or in forums), i would simply state 'fuck you ali'. and this was tolerated by everyone, community, mods, and Ryan.

kdice people also are staunchly against being modded for cursing because theyve seen Ryan do it several times. i guess what im driving at is that kdicers generally have thicker skin, and extremely love to defend their freedom of speech (except for racist stuff which they understand will be modded).

now, the major difference between gpokr and kdice is that kdice is full of troublemakers/cheaters/noobhackers. and they are fiercely vengeful. so, if a mod who has zero kdice experience were to come to kdiceland and start modding kdicers and taking away their free speech that they value so highly... that mod better watch out. kdice is full of people who love to have chips on their shoulders, and love to blow out of proportion how much they need to get revenge.

case in point is whoever created this FUCK TCS account. your reaction is understandable, to threaten that you will track down their IP and then destroy their life. apparently you have never heard of rnd. he pissed Ryan off so much (he genuinely was an asshole to Ryan and his game), that Ryan decided to start modding him. however, rnd realized that all Ryan could do was destroy his main account. he could create all the alt accounts he wanted to fuck with kdice. then Ryan IP traced him and killed all his alt accounts. then rnd realized that all he had to do was proxy into the game (random IP), and there was no way Ryan could know if it was him. and then rnd wreaked havoc, because he was pissed and had a chip on his shoulder.

god, it was awful. now in that one case, i understand and support the modding. yes, rnd deserved it all. but it seems that finally Ryan has realized the best way to deal with rnd is to just leave him alone (i think? i dunno). what im saying is, TCS, if you continue to mod people for saying fuck you x100 or whatever that takes away their free speech rights (minus racism), then kdice will get extremely pissy, and there are people over there who are looking for reasons to get pissy and wreak havoc. and if Ryan cant figure out a way to stop it (see rnd), then you sure as hell wont know either.

trust me, i dont even know the limits that the kdicers will go to to seek revenge against you. they will proxy, create new accounts, spend several hours a day thinking of new ways to strike back at you and harass you. does this affect you? maybe a little, but probably not much. you will claim that you dont care, bring it on, you will keep modding. but thats not my point. my point is that it affects wayyyy more people than just you. all over a miscommunication.

the miscommunication is that YOU DONT KNOW KDICE. the kdice community is NOT the gpokr community. if you treat them as one and the same, you are shallow. please tell me that you are not shallow.

again, this is not meant as a threat. i am not in on any of this shit that all these offended kdicers are scheming up night and day against you. i just know from past experience that there definitely is a group that is getting pissy. this is just a warning. because i care for the communities of gpokr and kdice. please dont escalate this any more. because if you escalate it, i can guarantee that kdicers will re-escalate it x10. for example the FUCK TCS account. so if we ever want this to be resolved (which you as a mod should want), the only way is for one of the sides to just blow it off and take the high road. and kdicers, in my experience, love the low road.

btw, if any kdicer comes into gpokr and says shit in chatbox or in gpokr forums, by all means, mod away. because in this community that is standard and all the users understand and accept it. the kdicer should get modded for their ignorance.

and if any gpokr players want to blow off a bunch of steam without getting modded, then they should probably just pop open a kdice window, and go batso-nuts over there. then take a deep breath, and return to the griver.

its a battle of honor against all the birthday announcements. i mean, if the forum were full of bad beat hand histories, i wouldnt be posting so much... but birthday congrats? id rather that stay on the gpokr/kdice facebook community.

and honestly, im trying to stop drama from happening. and TCS vs kdice is not good drama.
