Think I am going on a year and a half or 2 years trying to figure out why my avatar suddenely disappeared and I can't seem to get it back. I've tried from Win2K, WinXP, Vista, Suse, Ubunto 8.x, Ubunto 9.x... NO JOY. Many a friendly MOD has tried to help by resetting me, only to have it last until I did a refresh, changed tables or came back the next night.
So now we are at tonight ( 1-15-10 ) and it ask me for my username / password etc. So out of habbit I type it in, but I didn't change to "already have an account". Here comes the light bulb ... It then insist's that I enter a user name ( doesn't usually require that, but I did choose the wrong option ), then it complains that my user name is not 3 characters long. BLING, BLING .. the light bulb is on. Could my 2 character name be causing me to not match up with the avatars I upload ????? |

at 10:06 PM, Friday January 15, 2010 EST ty Myer, know anyone that can add a "." to the end of my name for 3 characters? Just as a test, since I can't seem to change it. And packet capture/evalualtion doesn't seem to reveal that my router is blocking the magic port.

at 8:51 PM, Tuesday January 19, 2010 EST ok, set up anew account ( after accidently using the same email as before ), now I have an avatar. But all my friends are washed away like my chips. LOL
Used 3 letters/characters instead of 2 this time. Next time a change impacting user names occurs, maybe we could get notification and the ability to change our user names to conform to the database updates/requirements. |
