Good question fech, I was talking to 1 player that has the award & doesn't even know what it is for.

Contributor badges are given for various reasons. for example, helping new players, outstanding play, being courteous, donating to the site, etc. Moderators give them out for different reasons. The meaning of these, in my eyes, are for players having issues, someone that they may ask for help when a mod is not available, etc. Hope this answers your question.

not really. I recently gave one to a player that had donated quite a bit, but his table manners and length of time on site had a lot to do w/ it. They really are not given out to often. There is quite a few that probably should have some, that have been overlooked. Unfortunately, there is a few that have them and then broke the rules, but we cannot remove them. It is really up to the mods and are normally given when a mod notices something that stands above the normal players
