^the key word there is 'perhaps'. It means you're thinking. But think about this too- this site is already flooded with chips every month. Do you actually want to encourage this greed into these scheduled tourneys aswell? Greed leads to cheats. I think the bonuses are good, compared to other sites with no bonuses (and with fees and rake). Leon supports an entire gourmet sandwich chain with his winnings every month, so they must take off reasonably well, with reasonable earnings.

I know what you're saying though, they have low turn outs.

My advice- don't underestimate anyone, not even poker players. Good luck with your well intentioned, but misguided thread. You and I both know that in a crumbling global economy pre apocalyptic world that its not possible for the poker industry to please everyone. Sure the site is mainly free, but right now in the minds of most its at the bottom of peoples priorities/needs, even if it remains at the top of their wants. Rush you are talking about the players tourney. There is no bonus with that tourney, so when only 3 join its the only tourney where 3rd doesnt even make payout. I think it takes 6 to join before 3rd will get their chips back. I know gnice had picked up on this and has been trying to get it changed but it is all in the hands of Ryan. Good Luck :o)

we actually sent a message to ryan about this after you and I talked rush. asked for him to up the bonus, so if there is only 3 ppl playing....3rd place will make buy in back.

after discussing w/ ryan...we will change the bonus for players tournaments from 20k to 50k. hopefully this will help draw some more ppl..I will say though, the 25k tournament has always been small , usually 3 - 5 players

Great compromise and result for this thread (ya gotta keep in mind that when we get 'stuff' it makes it harder to take away, ofc). I didn't read the whole thing but I trust it was exhilarating.

I did have to contribute though OP, your idea if taken lightly had the potential to severely backfire, and having acquired my Cert IV in Backfires at a young age I was compelled to chime.

even in live tournaments Rick...you can sit out. your blinds are removed when your turn. Ryan tried to keep the tournaments as they are live. I agree it can slow up tournaments, but the awayers actually help to have more payouts for tournament.

Wasn't complaining about payouts! It's the speed of the f*%ken tourney! Not everyone wants to wait till an awayer is out..
