Lag Tip

Been awhile since I've been on and I see lag is still a problem, so looks like it may be a permanent fixture of the site. Therefore, I thought I'd share the best way I've found to deal with it in the interest of bettering everyone's experience. I'd say it works on >90% of the lag I encounter. Can't say it will work for everyone, but hopefully helps some.
The big tip is: open two tabs in your browser to the table you are playing at. First, often times only one tab will lag out and you can hear the other one continue and can click over to continue play seamlessly. Second, you can refresh either tab and it won't unseat you, this is useful if both of your tabs lag out (just refresh one). It's not illegal or anything; you don't see any additional information, you just see your own seat and can play from either tab. Got a better lag tip? Do share! Enjoy! Giig P.S. Spread the word, it helps everyone and makes GP more fair and fun! |
