What happened to the principled stand? When you originally went on strike, your original statement was quite strong, implying that you would not return until the site was 'fixed'.

So a reboot is all that's needed to resume your duties? If that's the case he could set a cron job up to reboot the server every night. It'd be a minute or two of downtime at most.

If my point isn't clear - resetting table servers is not a fix. I only mention it in case you decide to return to your self imposed exile / principled stand. I wouldn't want to see you dishonor yourself based on a misconception about this. IDK, perhaps your language was imprecise.

Anybody who has been playing on gpokr long enough knows that Ryan resetting the site is normally fixing it. Wrong or right Ill take it like many others.

I am just curious as to his state of mind as the second post doesn't seem to comport with the original dramatic gesture.

My impression is that it just seems like gnice37 got bought off quite cheaply. What's next? Maybe Ryan will flick him an extra $2000 in chips next time he gets mad.

Not to be confused with any of my accounts lol Mad King mr nice has put many hours into this site since he started as mod and got alot of respect. His state of mind was he would leave as he couldnt answer any of the players questions as to the state of the site. Now Ryan has done he so called fix he is back.

Mad king, easy to sit back and criticize a guy that has been here for years and I have only seen him help. Maybe start up your own and operate it and see what it entails?

I'm not criticizing anyone. I was just asking about his state of mind. What he originally demanded and what he settled for are in my view completely different.

gnice37 said he was leaving until a fix was made. In case he didn't know, I just wanted to make sure he knew that a reboot does not fix anything. It takes about a minute's work to completely automate that process forever.

In solidarity with gnice37 original spirit, I hereby announce I will be leaving the site until my next vacation. I hope you will all consider me ministering my fellowship to you this month a mini judgement day. I folded for your sins.
