swearing is not against the rules on gpokr, hate language is, and many female players use swear words
i personally don't see a problem with it , and i know at least 1 other mod that doesn't either.
as you have said before, if don't like what a player is saying MUTE THEM.

I am sure that if ryan wants to get more traffic in he will review the rules and more specific guide lines. Speaking from a females point of view I dont mind to a certain point but some players will cuss so much that even i cant tolerate it. When the hornets nest was released it was real bad but I have noticed it has calmed down a bit.

Well, let's not stereotype that females are fragile... I myself am a sailor! I get down with the F-Bombs and such. LOL It's a form of expression. But, I feel like this is a public site and poker, idk what kinda real tables folks play at, but there is cursing. The social aspect of THIS site is what makes it different than other poker sites. But, my "social" has profane language as is for many others.

The rules are "Hate" or "Abusive" language. N Word and others racist words, no tolerance for. A player telling someone to go kill themselves = Abusive (in my opinion) and I have no tolerance for it.

But cursing in general does not fall within these parameters. I mean how many times does Lars say Assfuck??? But, he is still chatting away. Yet, someone says Cunt and the whole world is crashing. Restricting language is a fine line, and when mods cannot be here 24/7, it is hard to patrol...to be fair and across the board. Cuz then you get blamed for favoritism which is fair.

AND let's remind players of the /mute *playername* in the chat if they do not want to see the language. Players can control what they do not want to see without the need of Mod intervention.

u may be frustrated but getting ass fucked is tooooo visual and therefore a visual that cant be erased sounding violent.. rather than just being a hand loser that can just re enter ( the game again)
