Alright you bums, it's time you zombified bingo players are set straight on what constitutes a 'nh'.

Let's say LarsBar pre flop all ins with AA, which has finally arrived after him saying "all in next hand" for the last 97 hands, and I call with 66. If I hit quads on the flop and run the hand out without Lars hitting runner runner AA, which anyone else would against Lars, as Lars will no doubt attest to, I did not have a nh. That's right, it was not a nh. It was a damned ugly arse lucky hand played like a screen zombie with a pool of vicious drool, viscous because they can't be bothered getting out of their arse imprinted chair to get a glass of water, stained down the front of their Lord of the Rings Tee. In no way shape or form is my call to be taken as anything more than a bingo play. If I were to call on a small table, it is relatively inconsequential and just bingo. On a higher table, it is a poor call against someone as Jewish as Lars knowing Lars will likely have a solid hand...and therefore bingo.

Nh is not a compliment to you personally UNLESS you have played the hand well. Playing the hand well in a scenario with quads deserving of "nh" would be a scenario where you managed to extract the maximum amount of chips from someone as ikey as Lars by actually playing the hand well.

You are not a good poker player because you won at bingo and therefore the compliment 'nh' is not an ego stroke worthy of 'ty' as a response. Sure, if you manage to actually play the hand well then it makes sense. Otherwise, it is not a compliment for anything that you did beyond playing bingo. It is like saying "well done" on getting pregnant. It really wasn't that hard. You don't even need a full set of gene's to do it. If you meant to have the baby, "I'm happy for you" or "congratulations" salted with sarcasm is the right amount of adulation for either of these contexts.

If you do see someone winning quads with 66 pre flop all in call, I propose we take a leaf out of merhoops book and abuse them. Bring back a good ol' "nice hand moron, damned bingo player." This way the person doesn't get a false sense of worth and is treated appropriately with an appropriate level of denigration and sent the message "we don't like your kind around here."

When Ryan scripted this site he may well have taken Jesus' words too seriously when he said, "for those who are last will be first, and those who are first will be last." Am I right Lars? Probably best player here and you can't get a break with all the bad beats.
