Just looking at many players stats pages, it looks like most people have had more straights than 3 of a Kinds.
I'm assuming the stats are only for hands that you complete, win or lose. Some one suggested the odds of the hands are different for Tx hold 'em than for 5 card. I suggested that there's some psychology at work. Are there any experts that care to explain? |

at 6:30 AM, Thursday September 27, 2007 EDT suited connectors, who doesnt like them? they are being slow played all the time, no pair on board with straight = NUTS. so slowplays means, showdowns will come more. When somebody hits a set tho, higher bets, cautius players, no showdowns etc. I dont understand your question but I'm trying to explain it to you the way I think... not to mention how much people wanna f*ck somebody over with a straight. small pairs often get folded..
++ the higher ur hand gets, the more rare it is, so straights are not rare. full house are more rare LOL I hope I'm getting somewhere????? Greetz |

at 5:23 PM, Friday September 28, 2007 EDT as far as it goes I guess. Why?
The question isn't which is the rarer or stronger hand. The math is solid on that. The question is why do people generally obtain more straights than 3 of kinds, given that straights are more difficult to get statistically. If you have more to add, go ahead! |
