More straights than FH? Experts explain please.

Just looking at many players stats pages, it looks like most people have had more straights than 3 of a Kinds.

I'm assuming the stats are only for hands that you complete, win or lose. Some one suggested the odds of the hands are different for Tx hold 'em than for 5 card. I suggested that there's some psychology at work.

Are there any experts that care to explain?

As you have a bit background on math statistics/chances. you have to realize that the board gives random cards in which connectors are more likely to show up.. its more difficult to make trips than straights, BECAUSE(!), straights can be made via insides, outsides, that means more outs, with trips you get actually a rare one/two outer.. and then ofcourse with the straight odds you get 4 outs per card you need.. its all about the odds :).
