Hi all,
Ryan has spent a good deal of time trying to improve things for US. Some will like things better some won't. Ryan can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time but NO-ONE can please ALL of the people ALL of the time. A lot topics are coming up about things not working or dislikes, let's put them all in this one place for Ryan and remember BE CONSTRUCTIVE if you dont like something give a reason in a polite manner and if something isn't working for you try and explain the problem as fully as possible to help Ryan identify it :-) Be lucky, have fun *blows kisses |

at 7:33 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST OK,
THE "BIGGEST" problem that I am still having is that everytime that someone bet's my screen is "STILL" flashing... I think this may be why i have a head ache but I can't take it.. I can only play for a few minuets then i leave because the flashing is to annoying. If I bet it flashes. If someone else bet's it flashes. I don't know what to do I pressed "F5" and refreshed the screen however it's still flashing... It's the same type of flash that was in the trial version. If i click change rooms or leave seat or anything it flashes.... HELP! |

at 7:41 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST most problems may be resulting from a Firewall or server issue on the player's end.. I logged on at work and experienced most of the play issues described here... logged on and home using a Mac and Safari... no issues there.

at 8:02 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST Lag.....i saw for 10 minutes the same hand (someone went all in). Needless to say that on the first day i saw 8 cards on the tables... Thank god i wont be able to play for the next 1,5 months! See all ab the 16th Februar.
Positive: Good that the flags are out (no missusage,no rasism), very good new features! |

at 8:04 AM, Thursday January 3, 2008 EST So far I was mostly disapointed by this new version. I only played old gpokr for a week or so, so I was new tho the old version as well.
I see many good features removed: - country flag - custom infos in our profile: - age / sex / country - short personal info - long personal info - additional infos about our hands: - best/worste pocket hands - win/loss with all our hands - message board in our profile: - no more friendly comments - no more funny hands to write down there New technical problems I never saw before (granted I didn't play for long on gpokr, and it was the end of december): - huge and frequent lag spikes, I had almost none before, and when I had one, it was clearly my own connection at fault - a lot more people lagging out or getting disconnected - nothing is displaying or working properly with 1.X Firefox, granted this is only a minor issue, but previously it was working fine on any IE and Firefox I tried - if someone bet or raise, the auto check/fold options doesn't work properly So maybe there are a few upgrades here and there. The most noticable is clearly the very responsive "leave table" and easy "refill", as those are the most used features at the moment. But why removed so many things that were so great in gpokr ? Those features were, in my opinion, what makes gpokr so good compared to many online poker site. The interface is still the best I ever tried, but beside this, I now feel like I'm playing another game, a lot worste than the previous one. This is, in my opinion, not an improvement at all. Sure a lot of things could have been better with the message board, friend list, etc. But how come removing them altogether could improve anything ? I hope you will work something out. |
