From a concerned English woman to the americans out there.......please don't go from a buffoon who has made your voting public look somewhat misguided to say the least, to a complete novice who will only make mistake after mistake, due to his complete lack of experience and lightweight demeanor.

Whilst I am not hugely knowledgeable on American politics, I have a relatively healthy interest, enough to know that neither candidate are anything to get too excited about (exactly the same can be said in England).

However, voting in Obama would certainly be out of the frying pan and in to the fire.

For the sake of World Politics and harmony, don't vote in a loose cannon with no experience, it will surely spell disaster. McCain is the only sane option.

But hey, what do I know?

Shed--if you think Bush is a buffoon (and I totally agree with you), McCain is just a chip off that old block. He has voted for Bush initiative over 90% of the time. I agree that Obama is somewhat inexperienced, but he is smart and he brings people together in a positive way. And I believe he will surround himself with other smart people to change things and take a second look at America's skewed priorities.

Anyway, political parties are largely a part of where and how you were raised. I am a bleeding heart liberal. LOL--I love CG but we will probably just cancel out eachother's vote as my parents have done for the last hundred years or so.

I get the fact that noone in the WHOLE WORLD wants another Republican President,but rich white peoplein America,but why not have any rules??

Opie, 1st thing~I am not a wealthy woman(I am white tho)! I do, however have what I need and some of what I want! I am blessed. But, I have WORKED for everything I do have. My government has not taken care of me!

There is a clear choice here and his name is John McCain!! I firmly believe one of the requirements for the President of our United States is that he/she has served in our military!! I further believe that this is not going to be politics as usual with Mr. McCain. I suggest that voters of the STATES listen to the debates forthcoming and then you will see there is a clear choice!! Coolchick I love your passion but if you want to avoid worldwide issues from the elections in the US then you certainly don't want the Democratic side either. They are hell bent on putting our ecomomy into a depression that makes 1929 pale in comparison. Their programs promise outrageous things to the middle class majority. They promise, promise, and promise some more using retoric and gross generalities without a real plan on how to pay for their promises. The US as a country has been in dire straights since 1971 when we allowed the first defecit spending. Neither party has an answer to the continuing problems we are currently facing. McCain is not a warmonger as you suggested, you need to learn more about him. That picture is a fabrication of our media (largely democratic). McCain actually represents the least amount of disruption in world economics even though that means little will change. That is not necessarily a bad thing. A cloudy day is still preferable to a storm.

One last thought, I am a republican but I vote for whoever make sense regardless of their party. My representative to the state assembly is a democrat and she is running for the state senate. She will get my vote. It's not about parties any more, they both look and sound the same, it's about who will lead our country out of the economic wilderness we have strayed into.
