I'm not American, but have held elected office as a conservative and have a Political science degree..so don't dismiss me to quickly CG!

There is simply no way back from the Bush /Rove/Cheney global train wreck..not even picking quirky candidates.

As for quoting "facts" from Rove , or Republican TV, aren't you mildly ashamed of that Rob?

Country Girl quote: Oh yeah~~Did you see how much BIDEN loved PALIN????? He literally undressed her with his eyes!!! hahaha You could See it in his eyes ans his smile!!LMAO hahahahaa Even HE loves HER!!

This is the most in depth comment she is capable of, sums her up. A chimp could make more convincing arguments.

Not ashamed at all... My facts from Carl Rove are verifiable, are yours?

One more thing, if you hold a political science degree, and have held office, then you have to be eminently aware how crucial this election is to the US and the rest of the world. The wrong choice could plummet the US into a depression of epic proportions. Last I heard we live in a global economy. So foreign policy train wreck aside....this election is about the future economic health of the US. A bad choice in November for us could mean a minimum of four more years of economic melt down.

Last thought...you comment about Fox as "Republican" TV as if it's poison and embarrassing to quote their sources and then fail to credit ABC,CBS, and CNN as networks that slant everything they report towards the Liberal Democratic side. Why so one sided in your picture of the US Mr. Political Science Major? Perhaps you are the one that should be embarrassed.

Carl Rove was one of many that commented about Bidens use of inaccurate information during the debates...c'mon Gummo check your info before posting a negative comment.

Just because I happen to favor the Republican side doesn't make my information any less credible than the rhetoric that has continually been posted on this forum for the last several weeks. I do check my facts before posting and although this might shock and bother my Democratic compatriots Biden did make at least 10 mistatements of his so called facts during the debates. He is a gentleman and a patriot but failed in the debates because of the errors he made....in my opinion. I am NOT claiming victory for the republican side in this debate, just stating the facts. No winner is more like it with the American people losing in general. We face another election with poor choices for our leadership on both sides. My greatest fear is that we fail again as a country and elect another buffoon with a compliment of clowns in our Legislative circus to dance a merry dance of destruction around the general american public. The world looks on in amusement and horror at our elections because we move like sheep to the slaughter. No wonder we have a poor image in the world.

Rob nothing personal but I find your analysis a little embarrassing. To say that Sarah Palin even held her own in the debate is to say she didn't fall down as much as the world predicted. That being said Biden clearly won. Palin did ok the topics she had obviously been instructed in but was clearly all at sea with others. A flutter of the eyelids and a reminder of how Alaska wants to further rape the environment in the search of oil (drill baby drill!!) didn't distract enough for me to realise she wasn't answering the questions. But hey she's a maverick don't you know!!
Your right on one point Rob this election is vital to not only the US but to all of us. I'm an Australian, so US foreign policy quickly becomes ours and though not as significantly as in years gone by US economic meltdown becomes our mess also. Conservatives are all about big business, the free market with as little Government intervention as possible, isn't Wall St a good example of why this is flawed. Australia is (slightly) immune to whats going on in the US now because we are in the middle of a massive commodities explosion feeding China and India with the raw materials of their boom and because we have a strictly regimented banking and corporate system. US congress desperately needs to pass the bail out but more importantly it needs to adopt a regulatory system like ours.
I can't understand how Bush won in 2000, am totally flabbergasted he won in 2004 but will be beyond words if Obama doesn't take the gold in November. He's the real deal. I thought he was to good to be true at first until I read his autobiography, if you haven't read it do yourself a favor....
Anyway back to poker....

McCain or Obama...that's a personal choice based on where you think the country should go on many levels. But it is indisputable that Sarah Palin is not qualified nor ready to be president...a real possibility when you consider McCain's age and list of medial problems.

Her interviews were embarassing with Katie Couric. She couldn't even list one supreme court case and made rambling statements that made absolutely no sense.

I know people who were prepared to vote for McCain and have changed their minds base on Palin. I think it is so sad that with the number of smart, capable women in this country, Palin is brought forth. What a hit to feminists everywhere.

This is my last post on the subject. I don't even pretend to be unbiased at this point and know most other people aren't either as the election approaches.
