CG, it is getting pretty clear that you are only voting and campaigning for Palin as she is decent looking woman. What has our society come to, when someone is basing their political views on a race or sex.

To CG, I am cynical about our election process in general because since 1964 nearly all our elected officials (save one) have gone to Washington, raised taxes, and then raped the american public without even a thank you note. They have over spent our budget without concern since the mid 1970's and put the US in the economic hole it's now trying to find a way out of. All our elected officials, Senators, Congressmen, and members of the Executive branch, are culpable. The only way we will ever see our government back in the hands of the people is if we eliminate any salary for public office over that of an average citizen. Make it a felony punishable by life in prison or worse if you take any kind of payment or bribe to vote a certain way on an issue. In essesnce bring back the original way of our government where people served for the honor of serving their states, not to feather their nests or get a book deal or lecture tour. I have trouble making a distinction between Republican or Democrat in our government today because both groups are guilty of the same offenses against the american people. In France when the aristocracy went too far and the people were left in poverty, the people revolted and executed nearly all of them. I am not advocating a return to the days of the French Revolution, but radical change is needed if we ever want this United States to be great like it was in the first 175 years of it's life

if any democrats said such a thing to Clinton, they caved when he choose to test them. our current impeachment-precedent is:
dont matter what he's done, we will never remove "our President"
because under our system, the only way a President can be removed is if the members of the same party holding seats in the Senate turn-against him and vote him out even "if" doing this will run them the risk of losing their next primary

i don't respect many politicians, of either party, but i do respect those republicans (Jim Leach, et al) who either resigned their jobs in the Nixon administration or those Senate-Republicans who vowed straight to Nixon's face that they would remove him.

i no longer am a democrat because there wasn't a single one of those Senators who cherished our former impeachment-precedent as much as they should. for feck's-sake, all except one of them (Feingold, WI) voted to dismiss the House's charges for lack of evidence. lack of evidence !! starr may have made mistakes, but failing to accumulate rock-solid evidence was not one of them.

Gummo, all I did was write a direct quote from fox that happened to be Rove's (really cause his was the one I remembered best). The information he gave was still factual and had been brought out by numerous others before I wrote the post. My position in respect to politics is clear. I think both parties are corrupt and ineffective. So I guess you and I do agree about the state of our current political system. By the way I took no offense at your comments at all.
