Guess I'm in good company

It's in my nature to push a good thing. I was really lucky yesterday and made the top 25. Probably ensured a medal for the month. But I wanted to see how far I could take it...and I'm back at the kiddy table. LOL.

But it looks like I'm in good company and it gives me some good insight about this game. I don't enjoy the 30 day format. I like the options now of tournament play. I look forward to it.

I guess the thing I still haven't figured out is why this is worth all the time we spend playing it. There's no money, an ugly little medal on the 30th or 31st day and the realization that hours of time are wasted on this little obsession.

Maybe I should do like Kizzadaman and asked to be blocked. Or find an obsession that pays a little better. Any suggestions?

Impatient, I now play low buy in tournements at 'Full Tilt'. Usually I go for 90 player sit n go. They're loads of fun and although in the early stages you get the idiot 'all in monkeys' like here, when you get to mid and late stages the players are usually trying a lot harder than they ever do when it's free monopoly money so you get a much better standard of game.

Another major bonus is the lack of kids and hence nobody tends to abuse other players.

So for the same cost as a gpokr subscription you can play 5 x $1 tourneys every month in a non-abusive environment, in a game that actually follows the rules of poker (unlike here where the blinds are wrong), against a better standard of player AND you can actually win real $$$$

BTW, I am now a gpokr 'all in monkey' cos I no longer have the patience for gdonk idiot calls that you see far too often here, so I have a policy of throwing all those worthless chips away after about half an hour and will never try for an ugly virtual medal again.

Its truly bizarre...I'm an avid reader and as I type this I'm glancing at the pile of books I've bought over the last few months begging for attention....but hey fuck literature there's gpokr to be played :-)
