at 11:13 AM, Wednesday October 14, 2009 EDT Everyone knows that you are in danger of someone calling who is large staked if you bet preflop so low. If your preflop bet was higher then you would have chased away the low card caller. You were on the 1k table 6k is not enough pre flop. IMO

at 12:53 PM, Wednesday October 14, 2009 EDT Wallak, same same mate. The standard of play here is terrible. Trying to survive an army of idiot callers and taking fake chips off donkeys is not satisfying in any way. The hand you posted is a good example of the norm here. Trouble is it's not satisfying to win against these donks either.
It's nice to drop in from time to time and chat with some of the nice people here but in terms of poker it's an awful place. I really wonder how the hardcore medal chasers stay motivated month after month. Many of the better players have left this site and I'm sure that the remaining handful of decent players will eventually leave as well since they can't improve their game playing at a sub-stardard level all the time. |

at 2:40 PM, Wednesday October 14, 2009 EDT lol freedom, that is bs, 6k is more than enough preflop if you want some callers on the 1k table, its 6x the blind.
Plus the flop bet of 7k is more than enough to get [8s, 5s] to fold on that flop, i mean cmon, Then the 60k call on the turn with 2 outs, are you serious. Re-Evaluate your poker play, that is bad poker at its finest. ET i'll be having words with you :) Bad Luck wallak, you couldn't have really played it better. |

at 3:11 PM, Wednesday October 14, 2009 EDT Gurgi and nuts you miss the point.
This site is renowned for AA being a hand that fails to win, usually because you have some idiot calling with rubbish or you allow too many callers into hand. Yes in real life you may play the hand this way (or similar), but on this site.... The call after flop is a bit of a chase too far , and the call at 60k is rediculous, but putting both aside a 9-11k preflop bet may have stopped him being in hand in the first place. gurgi you know nothing about me or how i play so your opinion I rate as high as I would the opinion of an ameobe. Nuts I never commented on the betting later in the hand in my post, i was simply stating that a higher preflop would chase away (probably) these sort of pockets. Obviously if you want callers then bet lower, but people call with some very odd hands here, and they chase like there is no tomorrow. ET has been doing it all month and hitting so you run the risk... |

at 5:30 PM, Wednesday October 14, 2009 EDT It is completely idiotic to complain about this play. For each time you encounter such bad luck on noob calls, you have likely taken many many more chips under similar circumstances. Right?
Where are the complaints about cashing in on dumb play or stupid calls? I've had it with the cry-babies who think that they play brilliantly when they earn but confronted with noobs when they lose. And the nuts, he had 8 outs, not 2. Idiot call nevertheless, although the 60k bet was also reckless, as he could have easily had 5/4 or pockets making trips. Anyway, come back and play with gpokr rules. |
