I have been here now for 7 yrs and a mod for a few yrs.I would like to think I have seen it all but I know I havent. It just amazes me how the same people the same complaints go over and over and over year after year. You keep it up as if you did not know what Gpokr was all about! I would think you would become weary about talking about it.
Cheating is with us, it will never go away. I have seen the outright cheating. The 2 girls who had online sex for chips(believe it or not). A whole family playing while on the phone with each other.Friends on yahoo messanger or fb or msn while playing. I was also told of a program that lets you see what cards other people have and we can go on and on. The sad fact is people cheat and that is not going to change.Mods were told that we can not go by what is pasted in the forum as it can be altered. We were told to have people take a screen shot then post. Or a mod who sees first hand. Just because a mod does not announce what they are doing or post in the forum doesnt mean they are not doing anything.A few months ago I almost quit as I could no longer play as I had to help people constantly and really I do want to help but we needed more mods to help. I try to be on every day. If you want to play real poker please go to a real site! This site is for fun,free play, fake chips,fake medals. How can anyone be mad ever from being beat? That's the way it goes! Get over it and have fun. After what I have seen on this site I have come to the conclusion you can't make people happy no matter what you do,it is up to them! I have also come to the decision that maybe there should not be any rules at all, no mods either. Ryan can get a program that filters out certain words like yahoo and other sites use for the people who get offended with words and racial slurs. That would totally end all of the forum postings of that sort. Have fun guys, enjoy yourself,make real friendships with the people who play here. steps off of podium...smiles |

at 6:17 PM, Monday March 24, 2014 EDT yep 07 was a great year for finding gpokr and i was really bad had never play poker before ans was thought by the best that are no longer here it use to take 700k just to get a white chip now 2oo gets you whats that tell you it is a shame that the really good players are gone there are still good poeple on here that i lke to play against they make it a challenge but when players all in with 2 4 off suit and when 2 mill i just don;t get it i know they are free chips but damn make it seem a little real i love gpokr my wife hates it but i play when i can and will till i can no longer type or see i love you lynn you are special person and will always be my friend

No matter how hard the police, or elected officials, or yes, even mods, try to get rid of it, it can't all be erased. All anyone can do is their best to help the situation, whether they are a mod, or a player. If you see something, report it. What else can you ask of mods...you have their (free) time, their attention, and their willingness to help this site.

In the past mistakes and false accusations have been made against innocent people so one needs to have that proof. Many or most on this site has done it at one time or another. But over the past year it has become more of a problem on this site due to lack of mods being on at certain times and some have been known to do it at a full table in everyones view. I have witnessed someone cheat several times this month and become aware of it last month, but without the proof there is no point in reporting it. But for every person/people that get caught and action is taken there is another that comes along. That was what Lynny was referring to as it is with us.

at 7:01 PM, Wednesday March 26, 2014 EDT I have to agree with Cotton's comments. This site was a lot more fun years ago. I have complained about the monitors, never bitched about bad beats,and have never critized Ryan.
If I was smart enough I would create my own site but that is never going to happen. I do miss Chuna (best friend) smoke, chaffy, and about 20 others. I doubt many of them respected me all that much as a player but we had fun. I was a bookie for many months, loaning money, collections etc..... it was a hoot but back then loaning was ok. I would loan Chuna 250k that took me days or weeks to get.... he would return it 2 hours later..... great player..... Probably the thing I hate the most.... is the lost friendship of lynnmay.... I was a little grumpy but heck I come by it naturally. I have gone to other sites but I always migrate back to this one.... hoping someday things would return to normal, whatever normal is. |
