Too much wasted space with the bottom half of the screen. Assuming you're going for a mobile interface. There should be ads all over the site. You have the best playing poker site online. Beats everything available on facebook or that doesn't require a download. Lag is always the problem. Navigation is difficult. Took me a while to figure out how to switch tables. Also seems like I'm clicking the check or fold option twice before it accepts it. Bet works every time with the popup.

Also fold, check, bet options should stay stationary. They dance all over the screen. Once you click one it should stay permanent. Not trying to hate. Just giving constructive criticism.

Just checked again and I can't see a dealer button on the table.

UI looks nice but...

The slider for choosing a bet size can be fiddly.

Players sometimes want to make a very specific bet size but the slider goes up in preset increments. Nowhere to type in a bet size.

Just played a few hands in seat 2, my cards were in front of the guy in seat 3.

Chat window is too narrow.

No info on current pot size.

When the bet size pop up appears it obscures parts of the table including the bet size of some players.

I couldn't see a link to the forums or player profiles anywhere.

Thanks for the feedback. Forgot to mention that this is only tested in Chrome so that may be the reason for some UI weirdness. Some responses below:

> no friend list
Yep. I'll have to find a way to get this in

> wasn't able to view a table that was full
You should be able to do this. Wonder if it is a browser issue.

> don't like that your info is in the middle of table until you sit
Is it the white box with the play button? Ya, maybe I should take this away.

> reminds me of poker on facebook.
How can I keep the good things of the existing gpokr ui to give a gpokr feel?

> to view a table you have to pick table, then click on it again.
It should be a single click. Maybe a browser issue.

> be able to view wall and stat pages, etc.
Yep, gotta find a way to get this in

> You need to muck around for 20 minutes to figure everything out
Which parts were hard to figure out at first?

> Even taken the blue away. Looking so much like all the other sites
Should we stay white and blue?

> was in 2nd seat, card were right in 3rd seats face
Maybe a browser issue. Should be

> I couldn't see a dealer button on the table.
Good catch

> No info on current pot size.
Good catch

> keyboard shortcuts ALT + 1 = fold et
Good catch, didn't realize these were being used!

I personally don't like it. The thing that seperates Gpokr from the other sites is the format. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing the background color of gpokr to change, the darker color does make it easier on the eyes. Most of the sites that I have tried are like the test site. Most of them doesn't have a monthly competition like the original gpokr has either. Curious to see what others think and if they want to change or stick to the original format

I think it's great that you're working on something new, and taking an interest in GPokr. I wonder if that interest could be better used on the existing game, improving what Doesn't work and leaving the parts that do work and that people enjoy. I think many people like the fact that GPokr isn't like the generic Facebook Poker and others. They like the format and the socialization aspect, and would only improve the actual mechanics, like lag, certain tourns not working, and general maintenance issues like that. Just my thoughts..I like the original, because it Is original.

I'm kinda stuck right now with the lag and tournament issues. I don't see issues on the server like I use to. I need to be able to reproduce the issue to fix. Any help here to reproduce would help.

In terms of UI, I need to be able to modernize the UI to attract new users. That said, I would hate to remove what makes gpokr gpokr. I COULD make the new UI look exactly like the old UI which I assume would resolve concerns.

I would like to tease out what is good and what is bad about the old UI and keep the good stuff. For exmple, the new UI is taking up the full space of the browser and is responsive to different screen sizes so it wont get cut off. I think thats a good feature worth having. Also, no ads.

I don't fully understand the way the new UI looks like every other poker app. What differentiates the old UI? Is it just the white and blue? Is it the smaller sized table?

All of it, when you log into gpokr it is gpokr, lol simple layout and 99% of people have no problems finding their way around. The biggest thing people dont realize with original gpokr is the rules down the bottom of the page (which many who get caught braking the rules say they didnt know) and even after playing for a while need instrustions how to get to forum. On the new one cause it has no options like the original, will never compare for most. Um also where the blue? LOL

Not sure if it's my small screen or a browser issue, but I miss the details of each hand showing, and is it just me not seeing the full chat due to my small netbook screen? The awkwardness of the card placement on the table and the confusing way of switching tables needs to be worked on, as others have said. I think the Facebook references come from the way the player's avatars are placed in the circles and the way their acct. names are displayed.
