Why don't we talk about players who hide behind alternate accounts to gain an advantage on players?

Its using Java Random to shuffle the deck of cards from a standard deck. Then it just picks the next card. In 2015 it changed to Java SecureRandom, which is meant to be better for security use cases but it probably makes no difference in how the cards are shuffled. The server has no idea about the hands that its forming it just takes the next card much like real life poker.

Dave you are THE most aggressive player I have played on gpokr and you have won gopkr consistently with blue and orange square etc which only adds to the argument that this RNG rewards attacking play. A more random RNG would be fairer for all.

Let me break down what you have just said.

I suggest you read your own comment a few times:

Let's expand the acronym together: A more random random number generator would be fairer for all.

How does something random become more random? Also, consider the fact that what you are suggesting, is that Ryan somehow has added a complex algorithm to the existing Java plugin (which is already cryptographically secure). This hypothetical new algorithm factors in "aggression" somehow, taking into account bet size, stack depth, level? You should really take a few minutes to consider what you're saying as it's nonsense.

The reason I have only ever finished 1st on multiple accounts is that 99% of the existing player base have no clue how to play NLHE, they have not attempted to improve over years, and they never will. I could grab someone off the street who has never played poker, give them a 1 hour lesson, and they would be capable of winning given the current state of the site. That's not a brag, just to portray how bad the level is currently.

However, this attitude of things being "rigged" is not unique to just Gpokr, it's a common theme of losing players or addicts on any gambling site on the internet.

Nevertheless, hopefully Ryan continues to market the site and it experiences some sort of revival.

If this is true Dave then why do other sites do regular testing of their RNG to ensure fairness? Are they wasting their time doing this or are they ensuring their RNG works like real poker? And You are fool if you think Gpokr simulates real poker. And I've beaten you may times so get off your high horse. You're not a great poker player, your just another gpokr player who has figured out how to manipulate the RNG here and are afraid of any changes as you will be exposed.

Can we just move on? Ryan has responded and Dave getting to the top every month has nothing to do with the RNG. He is aggressive yes, most aggressive on the site, yes but he also knows how to play. Krugs is up there too but he is nowhere as aggressive as Dave but no one said his play had to do with the RNG. Cant be changed Ryan has made his ruling.

Lars and Dave, see Ryan's response and drop it already. The purpose of this post is getting us together on how we can get more traffic. As we want more players on tables and such.

I'm going to spend some time attempting to get new players to join and would love help if available.

You already had a great core group of players who all left because you left the site broken and unusable half the time.

Still no workable app in the app store. zero updates of any note. Posting in a reddit thread isn't doing anything the game is so bare bones while everything else has advanced so much.

The reason noone plays is because you let both games die that's on you ryan.
